Fair use rationale for Image:Highamspark&haleendb.JPG[edit]

Image:Highamspark&haleendb.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Edit[edit]

I have made a couple of edits. The first clarifying the Tesco planning decision as the previous article was misleading IMHO. Unfortunately I have no idea how to reference properly and don't have time to learn at the moment so I have sort of bodged that bit - sorry!

The second is to remove the mention of "the lake park" for The Highams Park. I have lived in Highams Park for 15 years and I've never heard anyone call it this. I have also removed references to "The Field" being a 'teenage' name for it as many people of all ages use this term.

'Norsk'[edit]

Just intrested to know why an article about Highams Park has been translated into Norwegian. Is there a reason for this or is this just random?

Library List[edit]

Does anyone know where the list of Waltham Forest Libraries has gone? The link on this article used to be connected to it, but it appears the library list has been moved/removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.73.76.84 (talk) 12:00, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Velodrome[edit]

Has anyone got any references for the velodrome mentioned in the sport section? I have never heard of this idea anywhere else. A Google search brings up nothing relevant as far as I can make out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:5426:EE00:5D35:B27C:ADE2:61A1 (talk) 05:37, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Forest Recorded Music Society - Edit[edit]

Changes made

  • Removed unneccesary capitalisation of the society name
  • Changed the wording of the paragraph to make it sound less of an advert for the society
  • Linked names of famous musicains to their respective pages

Futher edits needed

  • Someone with knowledge of the society needs to check the paragraph to make sure that it makes sence & correctly reflects the society
  • If it is neccesary to specify in which season Felicity Lott attended a meeting this should be done in a non-time specific way i.e state which season not just 'the last' one —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.10.214.48 (talk) 22:41, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sports Grounds[edit]

The article declares two sports grounds. Jubilee Park off The Avenue and Rolls Park which is presumably near Rolls Park Avenue. Jubilee is described as formally Trumans Sports ground. Should that be formerly? The Waltham Forest Council web-site does not mention either of them. Do they actually exist? OrewaTel (talk) 04:44, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
