Edit: March 7, 2014 I edited the speculative section at the end of this article which discussed the value of higher education. Original post speculated that the value of an undergraduate degree has lessened due to students 'insisting to major in psychology and the humanities'. The author then posted a link to a pamphlet my CIBC as if this was supposed to verify the claim. The pamplet said nothing about the negative effect of majoring in the humanities or psychology. Wikipedia articles should be neutral in tone. If the original author wishes to argue that majoring in psychology or in the humanities has a negative effect on a student's future employment, they ought to find a source that actually makes this claim and ideally it should be a reputable source. There's lots of evidence suggesting that students who do major in the humanities and psychology end up gainfully employed and do make money. It is true they typically don't end up working in 'psychology', 'religious studies', or whatever BA major they ended up in. But the data shows they do just as well, as say, commerce majors (in fact, by mid-career, many of those humanities majors are making more money than the average commerce major). So, I removed a speculative, argumentative claim that was not backed up by data. If the OP want's to re-edit the post they should provide a source.

The specified content from 00:08, May 29, 2008, was placed in error onto the page as part of its initial creation and was removed before I created the stub (around 01:30 the same day) that led to the current format of the article. The historical information in the initial version was not reintroduced to this page. Instead, new content covers a different topic and is generally cited appropriately for a Start-Class article. I don't think the copyright violation flag applies in this case. Adhe536ontario2008 (talk) 06:16, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The current version is, as far as I can tell, completely fine. The reason I tagged the old version was because it had "Return to Table of Contents" in plaintext at the top, which made it look like the article had been copied directly from another page. I think you can remove the cv-unsure tag now. Player 03 (talk) 01:51, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'll remove the tag. Adhe536ontario2008 (talk) 02:39, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

The picture of the map of Canada is not very revealing. Why not put a picture of one of the most prestigious schools in Canada, or a bunch of graduating students? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.241.75.103 (talk) 09:25, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I attempted to add a brief mention about how many US college-bound seniors were increasingly turning to Canadian colleges because of their much greater affordability, high quality, but two other contributors kicked out my referenced mention after much discussion. But maybe there are other places where my addition about Canadian colleges might be useful?--Tomwsulcer (talk) 16:11, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
