Time Period

The article refers to these vessels being used during the 18th & 19th centuries. However, this article and the linked articles only indicate that the Royal Navy used these vessels during the French Revolutionary Wars. Should the more limited time period be used instead?   • As the initial creator of the article, I appreciate your point. My problem was that my area of interest is the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. As a result, I have created a number of articles on hired armed vessels of those periods, which cover the period 1793 to 1815, hence 18th and 19th centuries. I know that the Royal Navy used them in earlier wars, but I don't have relevant articles.Acad Ronin (talk) 22:47, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
