Other uses of "historic compromise"

A quick web search of the term "historic compromise" will come up with some other more current uses of the term. I'm wondering whether (1) it (the term) had uses before its prominent use in Italian politics and (2) whether it would be appropriate to mention other uses in this article. Personally I'm tempted to use it in a much smaller arena, advocacy of collaboration between proprietary and open source software on development of language resources and tools for less widely spoken / less-resourced languages. The underlying meaning of "historic compromise" I think is an accommodation between two or more interests otherwise seen as antithetical, for a purpose(s) that both (all) respect and value over their differences.--208.54.7.152 (talk) 13:43, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
