[edit]I understand that some people, including those who wrote the essay on WP:CITEDENSE, don't think it is necessary to have a citation for every sentence or every claim. I agree with this to a point. However, to ensure WP:TSI, it is better to have too many citations rather than too few. We should not expect future editors to be searching edit histories to find when content was added, nor should we expect them to be chasing down original sources.
Also, Fyrael, you were bold and made a change. That's great. However, you were then reverted. Best practice is to come here and change the consensus instead of edit warring. - Having one citation for a short paragraph rather than repeating for every sentence does not cause a decrease in integrity at all. It's quite obvious which citation is supporting those statements. Nobody is being caused to search edit histories here. The amount of citations in this article is unreasonable. -- Fyrael (talk) 21:27, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
