And we're live[edit]

@Divingenthusiast2005, @BeanieFan11, other interested, article now in mainspace. Like everything around here, it's a work in progress. I don't think it will be deleted, but at least it won't be without a formal 1-week discussion first.

There are more exhibits mentioned in for example Howard, Willie (9 March 2007), but I haven't added much since it could be wildly out-of-date. Feel free to comment and edit as appropriate.

@Tryptofish, perhaps you'll find this one interesting, I'm sure there's a fish in there somewhere. Divingenthusiast2005 is an employee of the museum, and has adapted to the surroundings like a champ. It took me a while to figure out why the name of the village began with "Islam".

I have added some photos, apologies for EXIF data being cropped on a few, but they are my own photos. It's just been a pain uploading directly from my phone as it likes to rotate things...If I need to add anything or attempt to reupload, please let me know. Miller-Dunn diving helmets. Not a lot of people know about this design. Rum-runner helmet, a homemade diving helmet made out of a water heater that was used in smuggling operations during Prohibition. Basically, Canadian producers or distributors would throw crates of alcohol into the Detroit river as "deliveries", and a diver wearing this would retrieve them. I like the rum-runner. It should have a place somewhere, perhaps Rum Patrol, Rum-running or related article. Try to dig up some good sources (WP:OFFLINE may be of interest), add some text in the article the pic can reasonably illustrate, and bingo. Divingenthusiast2005, if you have any of the missing information, and can provide suitable sources, please do so on this talk page, and I or another uninvolved editor will assess the source and make the edits in the article, thus avoiding any quibbles about paid editing and CoI. (Note that these restrictions do not apply to uploading photos to Commons, or to editing any article in which you have no CoI.) If you check the Edit source tab in the article (I'm on a laptop, things may look different on a phone), you'll see some parameters under "Infobox museum" that are empty. If you know some of the obvious ones you can fill them in. Per WP:ABOUTSELF it's probably ok to cite a page on your own webcite for these, as you can see PS did that. Stuff that's aleady cited in the article text doesn't need to be cited again, an infobox is mostly meant to be obvious simple facts from the article text. I tried some formatting of the infobox, and I couldn't make it work. I tried making the logo smaller, to take up less space on the page, and I tried removing the pagename just above the box, because it's redundant to an almost comical degree (sez me). I'd rank it right up there with today's online news media - they have an editorial staff, they're widely read, they're global, they've been around since 1996. There are some variables, such as credentials of the author, and whether or not the published material is verifiable. If it's corroborated in other sources, all the better.
