It is a translation[edit]

It is emphasied that an this article is written from the translation of Mattakkkallappu Manmium - a historic records consists most valid references of Batticaloa history : This article consists no violations and no disputions of neutrality and factual accuracy to any of the ethinic community.

Hoax tag[edit]

This is not a hoax, please read WP:HOAX. There is a district called Batticalao district, it has a history. But thsi article depends on a primary source called Matakalalpu Manamiyam. That's what si not clear in the article. Thanks Taprobanus 16:49, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do not see much more big difference between Dravidian civilizations and this article. --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ walkie-talkie 20:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tamil Nation ???!![edit]

None of us going to believe whats written in tamil nation, esp their interpretation of our history. Sri Lanka has inscriptions, books, records and many more and finding citations from neutral sources would not be difficult assuming the information is correct in the first place. What policy says that RS sources need to be neutral or this your criteria ? Taprobanus 18:54, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An encyclopedia is NOT the place for presenting "Original research"[edit]

This article contains what was being attempted to load onto the articles under Batticaloa. That was totally inappropriate, and presenting them as "History of Eastern Tamils of Sri Lanka is perhpas more appropriate. However, such a history should reflect the established academic position. "Original research" does NOT have a place in an encyclopedia. Such material have to first get published in peer-reviewed journals. After that, once some concensus is achieved among scholars, they can indeed come to the Encyclopedia. Until such a stage is reached, any attempt to publish what some arbitrary individual considers to be "Original research" is to open the door for making the encyclopedia into a worthless tabloid. Please remove any material that has no authentication among reputed scholars (i.e, not supported by publications in peer-reviewed journals etc.).Bodhi dhana 18:18, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have all the books to cite this article but not the time yet, eastern Tamils did not show up in Sri Lanka yesterday and going to die off tomorrow (although some Wikipedian would like to see that happen) so we have enough time to develop this article without hyperventilating :))Taprobanus 18:44, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
