Change in end date

[edit]

Is the plan to merge in the contents of Cricket in World War II or at least to include a summary of its contents? Otherwise, there wouldn't seem to be much point in changing the end-date from 1939 to 1945. JH (talk page) 08:31, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just a summary because the successor to this would be either 1940 to, say, 1960 or 1946 to 1960. I think it would be best to add WWII onto 1939 rather than begin the successor with WWII. I think Cricket in World War II should be retained as an article in its own right; same with Cricket in World War I. None of the history articles should go into detail. For example, while the WWII article describes the famous doodlebug match, I doubt if that would feature here other than perhaps as a short example of the problems they faced in staging wartime matches. I'm happy with that. JH (talk page) 15:14, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
