Moved to Talk:History of Harringay - 1750 to 1880 as this is the article in which this reference appears. hjuk (talk) 17:22, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to go through this section, editing any minor errors, eg typos and so on; however there seems to be some serious issue with discontinuity. Reading from the beggining of the section, it is not clear what 'estate' is being referred to. Then comes a reference to the death of 'Chapman', again with no clue as to who this is. Later on it becomes apparent that Edward Chapman was at one time the owner of Harringay House and attached estate. It almost seems that some of these paragraphs should perhaps be switched around, changing their order, but leaving them otherwise pretty much intact. Perhaps there was an error in copying and pasting of material when the page was assembled. If that is the case it might be easier if whoever wrote the section could attend to it. I don't feel I know enough about the history of Harringay to start mangling the section, so I am reluctant to wade in, for fear of distorting the accuracy of the narrative. Thanks Dubmill. Hope that's a bit better now. Your editing of the Harringay stuff is much appreciated. I ended up throwing mud at the wall when I added all these Harringay articles meaning to come back and tidy them up. Then Harringay Online kinda took over! hjuk (talk) 22:10, 23 April 2010 (UTC) PS: Howcome your name shows in red and has no page linked to it?[reply]
Cheers. In answer to your question, I have not yet entered any text on my user page so the link comes up in red (which on wikipedia means 'doesn't exist'). Dubmill (talk) 22:53, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
