legal citations needed[edit]

I came across this article while revising the Samuel Lockwood article, and immediately noticed its completely different slant from the Ress book and a couple of Illinois State Historical Society articles I had read and cited. The road to abolition in Illinois was not nearly as easy as initially cited here. Still, I don't have time to find the cites, particularly as the nearest law library only has volumes starting with 103 of the Illinois reports....Jweaver28 (talk) 13:27, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
