The Previous Hokushin-ron Article[edit]

I have complied this article on Hokushin-ron from a number of entries on related subjects in WP. As there was a previous article with the same title that was deleted in 2010, I ought to explain why I have created a new one. There are plenty of references to Hokushin-ron within WP (and indeed on the internet) as a documented pre-WW2 Japanese military doctrine. However, the deleted article seems to have been entirely based on the contents of a single fictional alternate-history novel without using any historical sources. It appears that the article was deleted partly as a result of its poor quality, but also on the mistaken belief that Hokushin-ron was an imaginary concept within the novel and did not exist historically. Hopefully the cross-references to other WP articles will now help demonstrate that this is not the case. I have also picked up a small number of in-line citations from the WP articles I have used, but more citations would be useful in case such a dispute should arise again.
