Move to Honda 500 twins?

[edit]

The title Honda CB500 isn't going to work because this article covers both CB series bikes and a CBR series. Since they are mechanically almost identical, we shouldn't make a separate article just for the sake of the bike that has plastics over it. I think Honda 500 twins is probably fine. Maybe with (2013) if we want to go the extra mile to distinguish from the older Honda 500 twins, like the GB500. Similarly, Honda CBR250R (2011) and Honda CBR300R (2015) can go under the title Honda singles (2013).

See Wikipedia:Article titles for the policy on choosing article titles. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 02:21, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, works for me. How is the title changed? tav (talk) 22:24, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Look for the "more" tab at the top of your screen, between the watchlist star, and the search box. There's detailed how-to instructions at Wikipedia:Moving a page. Generally, you should discuss before moving an article, unless you are very confident it won't be a problem. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 00:59, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
thanks, found it tav (talk) 20:57, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What is an anti-rebound clutch?

[edit]

In the list of changes for the 2019 model we are told it has an 'anti-rebound clutch' Surely this should be a slipper clutch?Dean1954 (talk) 22:07, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Honda CMX500 Rebel

[edit]

Why is it not included? It has the same engine.

In other words, is this article about Honda CB_ 500 twins or about Honda C__ 500 twins ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.18.42.11 (talk) 07:00, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SCL/CL500 Scrambler model introduced to the line in 2033. Honda changed all the names from ‘CB’ in 2024. 184.22.14.36 (talk) 15:56, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New 500 twins

[edit]

Since 2024, Honda has introduced new iterations that use the same 500cc 180-degree parallel twin engines. Notably the CL500, and CB500 Hornet. While the CB500- series is still in production, I'm wondering if it's worth branching off into a different article for these newer generation bikes. I will be adding these to the current article for the time being until further discussion is had. CompassNNE (talk) 17:17, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Scratch this, will branch off into new articles for the Honda CB500 Hornet, Honda NX500, Honda CL500, and Honda CMX500 Rebel CompassNNE (talk) 23:04, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
