Gramatical errors.[edit]

In the first paragraph, "Honda commanded a rank of musketeers as the combined Oda/Tokugawa forces annihilated Takeda Katsuyori's army, partly thanks to the skillful use of ranked muskets, firing in cycling volleys - the first example of this highly-effective tactic that the world had seen" does not make gramatical sense. This article definitely needs proof reading.

In the first place, it is rather inaccurate to say that the volley fire technique won the battle (something that is constantly over hyped). Oda Nobunaga led 30,000 while Tokugawa Ieyasu led 8,000 against approximately 12,000 under Takeda Katsuyori (the rest were maintaining the siege), which gives a ratio of 3:1 in favour of the Oda-Tokugawa forces on the field. The arquebusiers number approximately 1000 and helped by 1) a wooden palisade (Nobunaga's idea), a stream across the battlefield and probably a soggy field after a downpour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Maeda Toshiie (talkcontribs) 11:18, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources?[edit]

More or less this entire article is written without giving any sources whatsoever. The only two sources seem to be linked to some website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonridings (talkcontribs) 23:49, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
