I am hoping Michael Tougias a reputable author, will have the opportunity soon to get to the heart of the matter. The Otis genealogy refers to the remarrying of Hope Atherton's widow (p. 191) citing this battle, indirectly, as the instrument of his death, while the "Adventure" source speaks to his being lost in the woods during the later Turner expedition. That citation seems to call the Otis' genealogy's reference in doubt. Is this later source reliable? I feel we need more sources to help square things up. Any input welcome.
