Sister City?[edit]

How can Hornby have a sister city? It's a suburb of Christchurch. -I see there's no reference included.219.88.68.195 (talk) 04:41, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That was added with this edit in December 2010 by a user who got blocked the next day. It's BS. Good spotting; I'll remove it. Schwede66 05:22, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics[edit]

The article had a single set of demographics in the infobox until today, which covered the commercial, residential and industrial parts of the suburb.[1]

I changed that to demographics for the commercial and residential parts in the infobox, added a more detailed version in the Demographics section, and added the industrial demographics as a separate subsection below that.[2]

As the commercial area is very different demographically to the residential area, I separated that out as well as the industrial area. The infobox now contains the total population and area, and the Demographics section is divided into Commercial, Residential and Industrial subsections.[3] The population in the infobox is different from the original because I'm showing a recent estimate rather than the census figure, and the original area appears to have been a typo.

Which of these versions is preferable? If combining the demographics into one is preferred, I'll create a Demographics section accordingly.-gadfium 05:07, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gadfium, what you’ve done looks great. Thank you. Schwede66 17:56, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
