[edit]

How can there be a top song for January 22, 2011? As I type this, it's only January 15, a whole week before Jan 22!!! Please explain how that can be. Muchos Gracias!

somebody is wondering about this

[edit]

"god with us" by mercy me was probably 2 weeks at the top I'm assuming because there are 52 weeks in a year, and if they have 3 it adds up to 53 and with the unsure question mark i think it was 2

No redlinks here should be moved, since if they made it here than they deserve an article. Free (talk) (HRWiki) 23:23, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

thank god for who posted this list. i was looking for the artist names to the wonderful music i hear on modern radio stations. playlist.com allows me to search these artists and most their works and listen to the whole music. the details are funny considering the magnificent landscape created by jesus and our father! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.243.57.167 (talk) 13:25, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hot Christian Songs?

[edit]

So where are these older charts? I wanted to look-up 80s and 90s hits. -- 72.70.149.95 (talk) 14:46, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Most of those came on the former Radio & Records charts (the Christian AC, Christian CHR, Christian Rock, Soft AC/Inspo), which you can now only see on Billboard.biz and require pay. This chart didn't start until mid-2003. Toa Nidhiki05 22:52, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
More accurately, most of these came from CCM Magazine from 1978-2001. Radio & Records took over with CCM's data (with CCM's permission) and began tracking in 2002, and did so until February 2009 when Billboard took over the charts. I happen to own a book that has the 1980s-1990s Christian chart data if you ever see this - the name of the book is Hot Hits: Adult Contemporary Charts 1978-2001 by Jeffery Lee Brothers. It covers every single to ever chart on the Christian AC chart and lists all chart-toppers on the CHR format as well. :) Toa Nidhiki05 21:27, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Title of article

[edit]

Could the article be renamed "Hot Christian Songs", as the lead shows? The current title is misleading to those unfamiliar with the topic. Even I sometimes forget and am stunned that it is about a chart and not just a list of "Christian songs" (no capital "S"). LOL. Makes sense. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:27, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Weeks on Chart

[edit]

Must songs have a reference to be added to the most weeks on chart section? I know of three songs (two songs currently on the chart) that should be added. I looked up one of the songs (In Jesus Name) and found no direct reference that it remained on the chart for 52 weeks. HorizonHope (talk) 00:31, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
