Student housing percentages

Are ALL undergraduate students housed in the facilities mentioned in the article? Is it required? Does it represent a larger percentage of student housing than fraternities usually represent? Do there tend to be differences between House System students and others? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:2E06:77B0:C0ED:7F73:91F5:7313 (talk) 13:31, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

You are required to live in a house first term freshman year, and the vast majority of students retain house connections for the duration of their time at Caltech (>90%). There are no differences between house students and others because everyone has gone through Rotation and thus has an opinion on the houses.

It's not absolutely required, but it is strongly encouraged. People who don't want to be part of the house system, even frosh, can live in unaffiliated housing. 131.215.167.159 (talk) 03:30, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

Bechtel

We need to change a lot of the background to reflect Bechtel and the new stuff that's just come out. I'm not great at Wikipedia so if somebody wants to take a crack at making some (factual, impartial as possible) modifications I'd appreciate their help. :(
