Untitled comments[edit]

The paragraph relating to the 1987 restructure is not entirely accurate, in the sense that it does not give a complete picture. The explanation is necessary because Hoyts Cinemas, one of the three identities to come out of the restructure, was not listed until 1996. Errol Vieth 00:05, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Something feels a little off about this article to me. It only seems to outline positive things about the company, but never negative things. For example, a recent edit I made was deleted. Capitalisation of 'HOYTS'[edit]

As far as I know, Wikipedia doesn't require that a company name be capitalised in its entirety (i.e. 'HOYTS') in articles merely because the company has chosen to do this in its own marketing and branding. Recent news articles in Australia still refer to the company with an initial capital only (i.e. 'Hoyts'). See, for instance, The Financial Review, The Advertiser, and The Sydney Morning Herald. Name origin[edit]

Is it possible that Hoyts is named after American actor John Hoyt? Should it be included in the article? Thomas Norren (talk) 22:24, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
