Despite this revert, the war is generally viewed as having ended with the truce of 11 July 1921, even though there were breaches on both sides. RashersTierney (talk) 16:52, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the view of the anti-Treaty republicans the war did not end with the offer of a truce, or with the Anglo-Irish Treaty which they rejected. The IRA continued to fight against the British army until June 1922, when the civil war began and thus brought a final end to the Anglo-Irish war. (92.7.2.17 (talk) 17:32, 22 May 2013 (UTC))[reply]
Interesting personal interpretation, though not one in accord with the main article as linked, nor with most recognised historians on the period. RashersTierney (talk) 17:47, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to change it to 1921 I have no objection, but the reality is that fighting between the IRA and the British army in the south did not end until the civil war started in June 1922. (92.7.2.17 (talk) 17:51, 22 May 2013 (UTC))[reply]
