Commentary

[edit]

As of the current version (May 2016), there is an uncited passage that needs improvement ("academically bright, but lacked common sense"). If the statements here are intended to represent someone's opinion, it should be clear whose opinion it is (per WP:OPINION, WP:NPOV). If the statements here are intended to represent fact, then the (cited) facts should be represented and not derive conclusions on reader's behalf (per WP:COMMENTARY). EG: instead of "academically bright, lacked common sense" would be "straight As, but never wore coats". Otherwise should be removed entirely. Guliolopez (talk) 19:55, 29 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Given that there's been no input on this (and no cites provided) in the several weeks since the above, I've removed the most problematic uncited commentary. I added a number of cites for some statements about contact with German legation/etc. Some {{cn}} tags remain. Guliolopez (talk) 01:02, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
