Hukok?

[edit]

Where did this Hukok come from? I know the place as Kibbutz Hokuk. The official website also supports this: www.hokuk.co.il
Any opposition? 77.126.33.133 (talk) 20:48, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The name is Hukok, according to multiple sources. According to all sources, including the village website, the name comes from the Bible, mentioned here (verse 34) and here (verse 60) as Hukok. I'm sure the people registering the domain got it wrong, and this is not the first time. —Ynhockey (Talk) 21:34, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, sir, I stand corrected. I was under the impression the name was linked with the prophet, while in reality it's mentioned in the bible on its own, with this punctuation. Hear hear. 77.126.33.133 (talk) 22:56, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yaquq and ancient Hukok

[edit]

There is a discussion at Talk:Yaquq how the ancient Hukok should be represented in wikipedia. Any comment will be appreciated. WarKosign 18:03, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
