Instructor Review

[edit]

Your sources and citations are excellent. I think that you could improve the structure of the article as well as correct some grammar/sentence structure errors that make the article a little awkward at the moment. Suggestions:

(i) Delete the First Discovery section. Move the sentence to the end of the definition section and modify it to reflect that human viruses are begin discovered at a very rapid pace today due to technological advances.

(ii) Link several terms in the Definition section to other wikipedia pages. For instance, link virus to the "virus" Wikipedia article. Link human genome. Link latent infection to "virus latency". Link acute infection to "viral disease".

(iii) Change Human Effects title to Health Effects.

(iv) In The Diet Effect remove or rewrite the sentences with the quotes. I like your explanation better of the experiment better. Expand!

(v) Add in information on the estimates of number of viruses and phages in the human body and other impressive numbers on discovery of viruses, number of viruses in HEALTHY people, etc. I know your references are full of those numbers.

(vi)I like the idea of the end of your article where you describe the plan and purpose for looking at the human virome. Please expand it and improve the grammar. I like the sections on methods also. you might see if any of those methods also have wikipedia pages (although keep in your primary literature source as well). This will need a few revisions, but could be a very nice section of the article. S L Seston (talk) 20:07, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
