Assessment[edit]

(Start/mid) The article is not a stub, as it was previously assessed. Great use of sources, nearly all are third-party. The article is well written, but not quite complete enough to earn B-class status. I rate this article as Mid on the importance scale because of the fact that it deals with the Native American mascot issue, though maybe more could be said on that if there are sources to do so. — Calebrw (talk) 20:39, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(C/mid) - I am reassessing this article to the "C" level based on the level of referencing. I believe the Mid importance for the school project is proper based on the age of the school, and based on it being among the oldest in a major metropolitan area. I think high importance is not warranted based on there being a lack of notable alumni and a lack of unique historic events attached to the school.
For improvement, I recommend editors start by continuing the rigorous referencing that has started here. Next, take a look at the Wikiproject Schools recommended structure for schools articles. There are some sections that are missing in this article, and others that are lacking (the athletics section is a good start, but where is the discussion of other extracurriculars?). Addition of the school logo or seal would be a plus.
While the referencing is a strength of this article, the references should be properly formatted. The citation templates can be found here.
This article is off to a very strong start, and is already far better than most school articles. Keep up the good work! LonelyBeacon (talk) 04:12, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking as someone who keeps nearly 600 school articles on their watchlist, I agree with the above assessment. This is one of the best school articles I have come across. Bravo. Gtwfan52 (talk) 06:11, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OWL??[edit]

Humboldt High school is connected to another SPPS highschool called Open World Learning Community (or OWL for short). This makes Humboldt the second smallest school in the discrict, which is contrary to the article. Can someone look into this? 75.168.94.20 (talk) 08:00, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
