Why was the Hummel Bird article combined with the Hummel H5?

[edit]

The Hummel Bird is a completely different aircraft than the Hummel H5. The Hummel Bird is based on the Teenie Two/Wind Wagon, while the H5 is an update of the Hummel Ultra Cruiser Plus. The wingspan is different, the airfoil is different, the weight is different, almost everything is different. From Hummel Aviation's website:

"The H5 is basically a slightly modified Ultracruiser Plus which has been around for a few years. The major difference is the style of the canopy, turtle deck and dorsal fin area. It is now like the Hummelbird. We also wanted to get away from the name Ultracruiser Plus because of the confusion it caused since we have a plane called the Ultracruiser."

They updated the Ultra Cruiser Plus so that it looks more like the Hummel Bird and renamed it to H5. However, it is not a Hummelbird. Marshallj25 (talk) 16:56, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
