Foul Play?

[edit]

"There is also enough evidence to support the fact that Hungary did Foul Play and drugged El Salvador's team, these claims haven't been investigated by FIFA."

Whoa. That's a pretty heavy claim to make without any supporting evidence. Removed, but notifying in case such evidence exists. Thanks, Fractalchez (talk) 19:44, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unambiguous

[edit]

Is there a need for the (1982) disambiguator in the title? How many times have Hungary beaten El Salvador 10–1? --Jameboy (talk) 19:14, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would say not. The normal convention for naming these articles seems to be 1982 Hungary v El Salvador football match – see for example 2001 Germany v England football matchfilelakeshoe (t / c) 07:07, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm strongly against using score-as-a-disambiguator; year is what's more commonly used, see Talk:West_Germany_1–0_Austria#Requested_moves . Granted, this score is at least unusual, but the year is needed. That said, I don't like this format; I'd prefer Hungary v El Salvador (1982) or Hungary v El Salvador (1982 FIFA World Cup)) , to follow the example of other matches in Category:FIFA World Cup matches. I'd say they were Hungry for victory that day — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.206.103.218 (talk) 19:40, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
