Civil War: The Initiative[edit]

...Civil War: The Initiative features the Thunderbolts battling another Hurricane, who doesn't seem to be any of the versions listed here. He's specificall named as Hurricane (II).. anyone know if he's an entirely new character? Either way, he probably deserves a very brief mention. --Mrph 23:04, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well Hurricane I was retconned as Makkari and Hurricane II was Albert Potter. He is even called by that name in Civil War and the Appendix says this is the same character [1]. Worth noting a number of other Marvel UK characters were worked back into the mainstream Marvel Universe during Civil War (like Digitek). So I don't see any reason that section shouldn't be a subsection of Albert Potter. Unless anyone has evidence to the contrary I'll make the move at some point. The Marvel Universe appendix website lists the CW Hurricane as a seperate character from the Potter version. Also, Hurricane I would really be considered Harry Kane with Makkari being Hurricane II, Potter being Hurricane III, and this guy being Hurricane IV. However, it may also be possible that neither Harry Kane or Makkari are generally known to be users of the Hurricane alias in the MU. This would make Potter Hurricane I and the CW guy Hurricane II (EMfreyre (talk) 14:29pm 26 July 2010 (EST))
Handbook writer Stuart Vandal recently posted on a thread at the Comixfan forums that the Hurricane seen in Civil War: the Initiative is not Albert Potter. Here's the link: http://www.comixfan.net/forums/showthread.php?t=46668&page=5. (EMFreyre (talk) 14:09 pm 22 October 2011 (EST)

Cleanup[edit]

This one needs a bit of cleanup, unless there is more than one Hurricane in the Marvel Universe named Albert Potter! 204.153.84.10 14:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Hurricane1.jpg[edit]

Image:Hurricane1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
