I checked Google, and I only get 4 hits, a lot of it junk. The first page of Spanish sources is about people named Bridigt, with the word Hurricane appearing somewhere else. Leave Message, Yellow Evan home

"This made it the worst hurricane to hit the city in at least 25 years." what purpose does at least serve? Were the records obscured?
- That was the fact listed in the report on the hurricane. Often back in that time period, people gave vague estimates on a storm's severity, and it used to be much worse. Storms in the early 1900s in the U.S. were regularly called "the worst storm in memory". It wasn't until hurricane record-keeping got better later in the century that officials were able to quantify statistics such as "the worst hurricane since X year". Bridget was only known to be the worst hurricane in a long time. I hope that explains it. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 13:49, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
