Hello, Wyatt2049. A tropical cyclone article, especially one such as Hurricane Dorian, cannot be upgraded to Good Article status while it is still active. In most cases, the project normally waits until after the Tropical Cyclone Report is published, which is potentially as long as 8 or 9 months from now for a storm like this. Furthermore, a significant amount of information may be added as the storm progresses, possibly even tripling or quadrupling the byte size of the article. I don't really think article is that close to Good Article status anyway, to put it lightly. Sorry, but I am going to have to quick fail this. Thank you for your interest in contributing to this article, but it just cannot be listed as a Good Article at this time. Regards,--12george1 (talk) 03:12, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@12george1: Okay. I really did not know that was a rule. In the future, I will nominate the article because I do feel it is a good article, but I will wait until the post-tropical cyclone report is issued. Otherwise, thank you. --Wyatt2049 | (talk) 12:18, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
