This article shouldn't exist[edit]

I've never run across this term before. I'm going to look into this article's deletion, since its content is also in the North Atlantic tropical cyclone article. Thegreatdr (talk) 19:19, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I've seen it in some of the articles on the islands in the Lesser Antilles, so perhaps it is a colloquial term. In that regard, it should probably be redirected. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:21, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What should we redirect it to? Cape Verde Hurricane or North Atlantic tropical cyclone? My guess is North Atlantic TC. Thegreatdr (talk) 19:25, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:51, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Very, very widely used term. Try Googling up "hurricane belt". The only thing I can see is that there seem to be two uses of the term: the one used in this article and its use describing a region of Florida. This one predominates. I've sourced the description to the NOAA, whom I assume both of you will treat as a reliable authority.—Kww(talk) 05:07, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
