Pollination?[edit]

What does the reference to pollination by apis mellifera have to do with trained bees? This doesn't seem to be linked to the main point of the article and should probably be removed.J appleseed2 (talk) 15:52, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Better photo (caption)[edit]

The photo is a good photo of a honey bee -- on a flower. But the photo is unrelated to bee training and the caption is further off topic.

When I make a search engine search for "sniffer bee images", MANY photos pop up that clearly are bees in training. The ticklish part is that every company researching wants to be named, and one doesn't want the WP article to end up as a promo for some company with the lucky photo. But some of the research is doubtless under government contract and gov't photos ought to be available for free public use.

(When I search wasp training, I end up with WWII Women's Air-force Service Pilots (WASP) photos). Anyway, maybe someone can find a public image of bees in training.

Proposed page rename[edit]

Since we already have a solid main page bee learning and communication, it seems to me that this page should be renamed from Hymenoptera training to Hymenoptera scent training.

Aside from one background paragraph directly the reader to bee learning, every other paragraph is unabashedly scent-centric. — MaxEnt 21:54, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
