I don't quite understand the expression 'collected tuition'. Are we to understand that Richards' early students paid him in cash at the start of each lecture? If so, perhaps a word should be added after the phrase. (They got their money's worth. As a grammar school pupil in the 1950s I went through an A level English literature course almost totally conceived in the light of Richards' ideas and teaching. Rigorous, yes, but highly enjoyable. And very liberating. We ended by rejecting most of what we had been trained to think).Delahays (talk) 23:05, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
