Citation needed for the line about being the first to use voip/internet for calls. I'd say net2phone has that in the bag.

The article does not refer to iBasis as the first to use VoIP or the Internet for voice calls. It says that iBasis is the first VoIP carrier to reach the level of "second-largest carrier of international calls". The previous citation of Telegeography as the source for this ranking suffices. For what it's worth, I believe Vocaltec was enabling VoIP calls over the Internet (PC-to-PC) before anyone else. Cwardatibas (talk) 17:15, 4 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pingo

[edit]

Shouldn't this article mention Pingo somewhere? Their market prominent position discussed in the article would seem to (and does seem to) give them an edge in low prices. In a recent promotion [1] Pingo stated:

Pingo is a service of iBasis a publicly traded (Nasdaq listed "ibas") leading telecom carrier. Major phone companies such as AT&T and Verizon have relied on the high quality and low price advantages of the iBasis network since 1997.
