This should be renamed the ICF Flatwater Racing World Championships because it is part of the ICF. Thought on this? Chris (talk) 15:43, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any other Flatwater Racing World Championships besides the ICF Flatwater Racing World Championships? If not, a renaming seems unnecessary. However, since the renaming is already done, I won't argue about it. John Anderson (talk) 23:12, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was trying to make certain that the event was named as accurately as possible. That was why I was asking. Chris (talk) 13:01, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When ICF started out(about 100 years ago) the event with singlebladed paddles was called "canadian canoe", but that only lasted for a couple of years. Now that event is just called "canoe".Since much of the world was populated with this type of canoe it would seem strange to label it "canadian".For example, when Tahiti hosted the FIFA world cup in Futsal the logo had a picture of a (singlebladed paddle)canoer in it.So if one type of canoe is to be labeled canadian it's not the one used with singlebladed paddles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.66.103.139 (talk) 11:27, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We should put Paracanoe in a different place[edit]

As well as in the Olympics, where the Paralympic events are separated from the rest, we must separate Paracanoe from the other events. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.55.238.214 (talk) 22:27, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships[edit]

Why is that still a redirect? According to canoeicf.com search, the championships are contested from August 19 to 23, so there is only three months to go. On the other hand, there is Canoeing at the 2016 Summer Olympics, which is almost a year later... 85.217.20.110 (talk) 16:45, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple medalists[edit]

Were there athletes (m/w) who medaled in canoe and kayak (in sprint; if not marathon can be included)? Who are they? 213.149.51.200 (talk) 20:43, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple medalists 2[edit]

Are there people who medaled in sprint and whitewater (canoe/kayak slalom or canoe/kayak wildwater)? 213.149.61.188 (talk) 20:38, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not 1001, but 1006 gold medals[edit]

The table is not good: 1001 gold medals are not correct. It is 1006 gold medals after 2019 world championship.--Porbóllett (talk) 08:15, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I miscounted the first column....Sorry.--Porbóllett (talk) 08:26, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

West Germany had 14 gold medals over the championships in total, not 13 gold medals..... I did not considered Saar...--Porbóllett (talk) 08:30, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
