What does IDEMIA stand for?

[edit]

It is capitalized as if it is an acronym, but nowhere do I find what it stands for. The ID part is clear, of course. But what's the rest about? They're headquartered in France, so I could see "IDEntité ... Augmenté " but that doesn't explain the 'MI' in the middle. A bit ironic that a company specializing in identity keeps this most up-front part of their identity somewhat veiled or mysterious! Johundhar (talk) 18:26, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

According to their press release, this is I, ID(entity), Idea, Idem (latin for "same", widely used in french, not sure about it in english). Press release, more details in the presentation speech (at the end). 83.202.253.66 (talk) 10:03, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This. If you don't get it, think about it like this: IDEM (Latin for "the same"), Identity, and Idea.
I think IDEM (Latin for "the same") and Idea (the first and last letter of Idea) might make it easier to explain to you since Idea starts with an i and ends with an a.
Reading the bold letters helps as letters helps. Daniel (talk) 20:47, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information in the Concerns section irrelevant to the article subject

[edit]

Recommend removal of the information in the concerns section of the article. All of that information is either generic and not specifically applicable to Idemia or concerns other entities and not Idemia (ie, all of the bribery content is about something that happened at Airbus and had no involvement by Idemia). 71.127.47.15 (talk) 05:07, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I removed most of the content in the Bribery section because it is irrelevant to IDEMIA. I left only one sentence since it might be relevant to IDEMIA. Daniel (talk) 21:03, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bribery section

[edit]

Is it ok to remove the sole sentence remaining on the Bribery section? I think it might be relevant to the article. Daniel (talk) 21:56, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
