Proposed split

Hi, I'd like to propose splitting the comparison since it is too long in proportion to the other sections. Itsquietuptown tc 10:28, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

  • Support, it would be more accessible to have a brief comparison in text with and keep the complex tables for a dedicated article, which could be linked to with a section hatnote. NemesisAT (talk) 09:14, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

– To further distinguish iPad articles, I'm proposing to move the following articles. In addition, the iPad and the iPad Air article will be used as a page for the comparison of the models in those lines (similar to the current iPad Pro article). That's all.
EDIT: In addition, to provide consistency with all Apple device articles, I'm proposing to rename these:

Ah, sorry about the 2017 thing. However, I still stand by moving the iPad page to a new iPad family, especially since there is a new line of vanilla iPads. I also think that the iPad Air should still be moved to the iPad Air (first generation) and then use the older iPad Air and iPad page similar to how the iPad Pro page's current use. This article has become way too long and messy; some parts haven't been updated, others compare models from other lines to another model from another line, etc. The new iPad family page will basically be like the current Mac page.  Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Danski454 (talk) 23:43, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

Multiple devices (iPad (4th generation) and iPad Air 2) currently have the same Model Identifiers listed. Please change the FIRST INSTANCE (under iPad (4th generation)) of

iPad5,4 (Wi-Fi + Cellular)

to

iPad3,4 (Wi-Fi)
iPad3,5 (Wi-Fi + Cellular)

THe "Highest supported operating system" for iPad Air 2 should be "12.5.3" no "12.5.1" as in the article. Thingos (talk) 14:46, 17 June 2021 (UTC)

Done: Btw, your request should be for iPad Air not iPad Air 2. iPad Air 2 and newer support iPadOS 15. Anyway, I have updated the table. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 16:14, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
