Non-English language names

[edit]

Hello,

I noticed that many translations of the language codes to other langugaes than English are still missing. How can I add translations? --Furfur Diskussion 09:19, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The English name is defined in the ISO 639-3 standard itself but I don't know if there's an official source for the native (endonym), French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and German names. Feel free to add to the non-English names if you can find a reputable source for the information. DRMcCreedy (talk) 17:37, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello DRMcCreedy, thank you for your answer. Unfortunately I just noticed that I posted this question not on the suitable talk page. Of course there is no need for translations in en.wikipedia. I originally intentended to ask this question in Wikimedia Commons, which should be a multilingual project. I am sorry for bothering you. --Furfur Diskussion 08:55, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. DRMcCreedy (talk) 15:06, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
