Infobox
[edit]- Please use a "flatlist" for the "Format" parameter of the infobox Done
Lead
[edit]Paragraph 1
[edit]- "Paste Magazine" --> "Paste" (Still with the link please) Done
- The mention of it being "named one of the 25 creepiest songs about love" should likely be in the second paragraph here, not the first Not done This relates to the content of the song, which is discussed in the first paragraph; it is not an accolade, which are listed in the second paragraph. I've restructured it to make this clearer.
Paragraph 2
[edit]- What album the single appears from should be mentioned primarily in the first paragraph of the lead, not the second Done
Writing and composition
[edit]Paragraph 1
[edit]- Reference #4 for the the block quote should be at the end of the block quote, not at the end of "He added:" Done
Paragraph 2
[edit]- ""five minutes of build and then a three-minute song,"" --> ""five minutes of build and then a three-minute song"," Done
- "Like the other songs on the album"... What album? You haven't mentioned it yet; you should probably reword the statement to "Like the other song on Narrow Stairs..." Done
Paragraph 4
[edit]- "It was released in two versions. The album version of the song is over eight minutes long, while the radio edit largely removes the instrumental introduction, shortening the song to four minutes.[6][7]" --> "It was released in two versions: the album version of the song is over eight minutes long, while the radio edit largely removes the instrumental introduction, shortening the song to four minutes.[6][7]" Done
Reception
[edit]Paragraph 1
[edit]- Please add a lead-in/topic sentence to the first paragraph of this section Done
- Who from MTV News said of the song? Done
- Who from Rolling Stone "noted that the sense of menace in the song was...? Done
- Who from Blender concurred? Done
- "Paste Magazine" --> "Paste" (Still with the link please) Done
- Who from Paste named the song...? Done
Music video
[edit]Synopsis
[edit]- Is the map really necessary?
- The map expresses at a quick glance the geographic diversity of the places visited and the distance involved, much more effectively than can be accomplished solely through text. I know it is unusual, but I believe it is justified in this specific case.
Filming
[edit]- The screenshot from the music video is a bit large; could you reduce the size please? Done
- Remove the link to "Stable Song" as all it is is a redirect, and instead state what album the song was from Not done As that song was a single it's likely notable enough for its own article; if that article is created, this link should go there rather than to the album article.
- Rest is really good!
Track listing
[edit]- Remove the "(AT0310CD)" and "(AT0310)" please from the release titles Done
Charts
[edit]- It's good, but you need to use the chart format per Template:Single chart. Not done It already uses Single chart templates except for the last entry, which must be done manually because the template doesn't have an option for that chart.
References
[edit]- Reference #19 - Discogs is an unreliable source Done
- Reference #20 - Discogs is an unreliable source Done
- Reference #21 - Discogs is an unreliable source Done
- Reference #22 - Discogs is an unreliable source Done
External links
[edit]- There's an actual pre-made format for official YouTube videos that you could use (Use 4 in the Morning for an example if you wish.) Done
- Alphabetize the list of categories to the following please: Done
- "2007 songs"
- "2008 singles"
- "Atlantic Records singles"
- "Death Cab for Cutie songs"
- "Songs written by Ben Gibbard"
- "Songs written by Chris Walla"
- "Songs written by Nick Harmer"
- "Songs written by Jason McGerr"
End of GA Review:
[edit]A good article with just some minor issues. On hold for seven days so you can make any changes to the article. Please @PING me here with any questions, comments, or concerns. Thanks again! Cheers, Carbrera (talk) 03:16, 18 June 2016 (UTC).
- @Carbrera: Thanks! I've started implementing the changes. One question, what is considered a reliable source for track listings? Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 02:50, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Antony-22: You can use the release citation that I will demonstrate below:
- I Will Possess Your Heart (Liner notes/ 7" Vinyl Cover). Death Cab for Cutie. Atlantic (Barcode: 75678-99387-9). 2008.
{{cite AV media notes}}
: CS1 maint: others in cite AV media (notes) (link)- @Carbrera: Well, I don't have access to the physical liner notes to verify the listings, so I'd need an online source. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 03:42, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Antony-22: All you need is the year of release, band, title of release, form of release, and the barcode (which is available in the Discogs source). Carbrera (talk) 04:38, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: I mean, the track listings were here, unreferenced, before I expanded this article. If Discogs is unreliable, then I'd need to find another reliable source to verify the track listings. Amazon only has the US track listings so I'm going to remove the UK ones for now. Otherwise all the improvements are done. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 01:09, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Antony-22: But you could use the Discogs' barcode for a last resort. Carbrera (talk) 01:11, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: I'm not going to cite a source I haven't seen myself... Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 01:20, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Antony-22: Are you done making changes? Lemme know so I can read the article over again. Carbrera (talk) 06:41, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: Yep, done. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 04:39, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
