POV: This article does not have a neutral point of view, it is far too Manilow-centric. If anything it should be Johnston-centric, as Johnston actually wrote the song which was subsequently recorded by a great many different people. There should be no photo of Manilow, unless photos of all the other performers are included, but the only photo here, if any, should be of Johnston, the writer. But the article shouldn't even be Johnston-centric, because the article's subject is a song, not a songwriter. Manilow was only the third person to record it. Captain and Tenille had already made the song well known, and David Cassidy had already made the song hugely famous, months before Manilow attempted it, yet Cassidy is barely mentioned in the article. An article about a song should merely list the name of the song, the writer, the year of publishing, then a strictly chronological list, with dates, of who performed or recorded it, followed by a separate list of achieved chart positions with dates, which may in practice differ chronologically from the performers and recordings list. Manilow is not the song, and this article would and should be improved by removing ninety percent of its references to Manilow. --Likeamanshand (talk) 10:30, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
