Resignation

[edit]

Iain didn't resign as MP, he resigned as a PPS, and will continue to be the MP for Hartlepool. The Hartlepool Mail's headline was misleading, but the article itself clarifies the situation.

Expenses and WP:BLP

[edit]

It is unfortunate that the local newspaper link is dead. It is essential to say who criticised the expenses, e.g. a political opponent and to maintain a neutral point of view. I'll rewrite the section keeping the Telegraph item but ensuring it meets the standards.
