This article is mis-named

This article as it stands is not about illegal immigration but about the illegal migrant population in UK. That is a different issue and is much harder to pin down given that Britain doesn't have an ID card system and the attempts to establish one in 2006 were cancelled in 2010/11. Not even the census comes anywhere near solving the issue of children of illegal immigrants.

I don't think the article should be renamed as the topic is still intensely topical. Instead it would be better to add information about the rates of immigration, although it is often now called 'irregular' rather than 'illegal'. Chris55 (talk) 18:05, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
