File:Il-30-bomber.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Il-30-bomber.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 3 December 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

  • Dabs and external links look good (no action required)
  • The lead needs to be expanded a little bit to more fittingly reflect the article. As is it's unhelpfully short.
    • Not a very long article, but I've added some.
  • "The prototype was completed by August 1949, but an incident involving the rival swept-wing Tupolev Tu-82 led to delays ..." describe this incident in a little detail.
    • Done.
  • There should be a sourced explanation of the reason some of the specifications are missing, even if it's just a lack of available records or unclassified material.
    • Erroneous announcement.
  • Format the references consistently.
    • Done.
Will check back soon. —Ed!(talk) 21:28, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
