Promotional single?

Why it was labeled as a promotional single since it's available as a digital single? --82.84.80.90 (talk) 20:14, 26 January 2019 (UTC)

Every release on iTunes and Spotify which consists only of one track is automatically labeled as a single by those platforms. This would include a lot of acoustic versions, translated versions, instrumental versions and remixes, which – as I understand it – would not normally be labeled as "singles" (with no additional qualifier) due to not having the same role/function as physical singles did in the 20th century. Thus, claiming that songs were released as singles based solely on iTunes's automatic descriptions would be pointless.
On the other hand, Wikipedia labels some songs, such as Getaway Car (Taylor Swift song), as singles based solely on their radio play. Jc86035 (talk) 10:33, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
Imagine is a promotional single according to many reliable sources. Plus, 7 rings is labeled as the the second single, [1], [2]. Please stop your edit warring. --Miaow 16:55, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
