Someone re-added Lutheran with a reference to a Missouri Synod Lutheran wesbite that defined this piety, but the definition itself said that it was a Roman Catholic practice! I have removed it. This is not part of traditional or mainstream Lutheran practice or theology, so Lutherans should not be cited in the article. aliceinlampyland (talk) 01:53, 22 November 2009 (UTC).

Please rewrite this article with a neutral point of view.

Perhaps someone would be willing to give their time in editing this article. It uses a great deal of devotional terms and devotional tone, rather than a neutral point of view. I am a devotee of the Immaculate Heart, but definitely will also agree that the language used here is over the top and should be disputed for factual accuracy and religious bias. I agree. I would also ask why the banal fact that the feast is now 20 days after Pentecost trumps the fact that it is the Saturday immediately after Sacred Heart. "20 days" is arbitrary and meaningless; the day after SH helps understand the reasoning behind the date. "20 days after Pentecost" is not only arbitrary but arbitrarily arbitrary - why not say 70 days after Easter? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 11:30, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

I too agree. I have looked at the 'calendarium' - the number 20 is not mentioned there, although it describes what one sees looking at the calendar. This is original research. it is the day after Sacred Heart. When this is corrected the corresponding entry for May 30 can be corrected. --142.163.194.66 (talk) 11:38, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

definition, Mary's virginal love for God

The opening sentence is indeed sourced, but is misleading. The word "Immaculate" in the title refers to her Immaculate Conception, which has nothing to do with her love for anyone, but the fact that Mary was, in Catholic thought, preserved from original sin from the moment of her conception. The Scapular of the Immaculate Heart of Mary article is ripe for a notability tag. Not much information on it; it seems to have been out-promoted by the similar green scapular. The Claretians don't even mention it on their websites. Suggest moving it here under Devotions (and listing "Alliance with the Sacred Heart" under See also).
