Is Riksrett a purely criminal-type of court (concerned with e.g. crimes for which in some other jurisdictions, legislators benefit from immunity, and so covers crime that might otherwise be referred to normal courts), or does is it a procedure that eventually aims/results in the formal removal from the post? cf. can impeachment be done with people who are no longer legislators? While my knowledge is rather limited—I have mostly been translating from the Norwegian Wikipedia and trying to find applicable sources—I understand from the general debate in Norway that riksrett can be used against former legislators, but only in matters regarding their duties in office. Contrary, legislators in Norway are not immune to civil or criminal charges while in office, so such offenses would be deal by through the normal line of court.
