Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on March 29, 2013.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that the brawny bolete mushroom (pictured) may contain the antabuse-like compound coprine?
Current status: Featured article

More sources[edit]

Here's more sources to use. The 1st two I don't have; the last will have more on the coprine story. Sasata (talk) 06:13, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've asked sgeureka again..and I;'ll see what I can find..Casliber (talk · contribs) 06:32, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
He has translated it now - this certainly fills in alot of gaps. Will add a bit later. Casliber (talk · contribs) 19:36, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Distribution[edit]

Would be good if the distribution could be shown with a map. Not sure if possible I couldn't find one. Ideally even a heat map showing that in hungary it is not so rare. I found the text a bit puzzling. How far north? Southern Europe doesn't include UK yet UK is mentioned. On top of that, where it is native could be handled in a separate paragraph. Edwininlondon (talk) 07:49, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sigh - I find the information for most species so meagre (compared with plants and birds for instance) that attempts at an authoritative map are extremely difficult without some form of OR or misleading the reader. I know of a few localities where this mushroom is found but have no idea whether or not it has been recorded officially or unofficially in places between, so cannot either colour it in or leave it blank on a map. This contrasts greatly with highly visible organisms such as birds where we can draw on alot of info for a range map. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 09:56, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comma comma comma comma comma chameleon[edit]

I'm pretty sure the commas in the lead section are fine, but just in case, I posed the question at WT:MOS#Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 27, 2019. - Dank (push to talk) 02:53, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
