just a note the changes made, including: "cortana had not detonated teh engines..." and "...it was clearly not catastrophically damaged, as Cortana was going to detonate its engines 'to prevent the firing of Halo.'" specifically the single quotes. The single quotes which originally contained "to keep the flood from escaping", was an assumed reason, although the true reason was to keep halo from firing... I believe here close to exact words were "I'll detonate In Amber Clad's reactor just like we did the Autumn's, the explosion should be enough to destroy High Charity and Halo..."

Name Origins[edit]

Just about everything in the Halo universe draws it's name from something real. Cortana was a sword, Spartans were real super-soldiers, etc.

"In Amber Clad" sounds as though it might be a quote from a poem (not out of the question, given Cortana swiping tidbits from T.S. Eliot). Any word on the source from which the name was drawn?--KoopaTroopa211 07:28, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, these Halo-universe ship names drive me crazy! Where do they get them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.202.150.92 (talkcontribs)

Same here! I was an English literature major in college and I swear these names sound familiar. For some reason I keep thinking Keats, but that's probably just because he wrote "Ode to Autumn" or whatnot. No matter how hard I look, though, the only time these phrases seem to appear anywhere is on Halo-related sites...--220.29.92.4 02:09, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
