US Publication by Jewish Daily Forward[edit]

Does someone have a good citation? I heard Spiegelman discuss this in person: That the only US paper which agreed to run ISNT was the Jewish Daily Forward, aka The Forward. I believe he supposed that his being Jewish made his work Jewish enough for the paper. I have found a reference, "Eventually the only U.S. publication to pick it up was the Jewish Daily Forward" in the Lambiek Comiclopedia, but that isn't Wikipedia standard? Or is it?
