Partially Owned by the Forest Service?

[edit]

The last paragraph of the summary is unclear where it indicates that the buildings are all on land that is partially in the National Forest. Either the land is or it isn't in the NF, right? Again, under Geography, the second paragraph states: "On the upper part of the slope, the land is partially owned by the United States Forest Service, part of White River National Forest." Aside from having commas in all the wrong places, this sentence indicates that the area is co-owned by the USFS and some other unnamed organization or organizations. Can someone who knows what is really going on here please clarify? My guess is that the summary should read: Many of the surviving buildings are maintained by the USFS and are located in the White River National Forest. But is that the case? Please help. According to the map I used as a source, the USFS property is shown as not entirely going down to the slopes, with the Loughren Trust (an organization I was unable to locate any information on, at least without searching Colorado's corporate data base) owning the land closer to the river.

But you are correct about the wording ... I guess I wasn't (ahem) seeing the forest for the trees. Will fix. Daniel Case (talk) 03:13, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
