Good idea. Martinmsgj 22:07, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The first source has nothing about diesel locos, the second has nothing about WAG locos, though the sub page http://irfca.org/faq/faq-specs.html has some details, in fact that page has more info available - why not use that.
Also see Category:Indian locomotives wag 5,7,9 already have articles.
Also actually searching 'wag locomotive' turns up more info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FengRail (talkcontribs)
Couple more points - From experience I've found that the railway name comes first - so I think the article should be named "Indian Railways WAG locomotives",, or "Indian Railways WAG class" also using the initials is common practice eg BR, DB, SNCF etc so perhaps it should be "IR WAG family of locomotives" or similar. A redirect can be easily made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FengRail (talkcontribs) 22:57, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
By the way the 'Chittaranjan loco works" (excuse spelling) is also a very good source of information for some of these locos http://www.clwindia.com/locomotives.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by FengRail (talkcontribs) 23:03, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming

[edit]

I have re-named the article Indian Railways WAG class as suggested above. Biscuittin (talk) 13:51, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Need?

[edit]

I personally think it's inconsistent that every WAP and WAM class has it's own page while the WAGs are bunched up here, despite having very little similarities other than being electric and classified as WAG - the information is duplicated on pages for several WAG locomotives, in addition. I don't think this page is needed because of that. ConnieC420 (talk) 12:57, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
