Name

[edit]

Just to note that the Commonwealth War Graves Commission list his name as Indrulal L Roy but the General Register Office death index has Indra L Roy - MilborneOne 21:38, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The latter, i.e. Indra Lal Roy is the correct name, as per Bengali naming style. --Ragib 04:54, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Roy's nephew is Subroto Mujkherjee. If anyone can confirm that Roy is a Brahmo too, kindly add this article to Category:Brahmo. Yvantanguy (talk) 12:45, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Was Roy India's only ace?

[edit]

Hello, all,

This may sound like niggling, but several other World War I aces were born in India, as may be seen at List of World War I flying aces from India. All but Roy were of Anglo-Saxon heritage; they were apparently born into the family of British colonists. This leaves Roy as the only ethnic Indian ace, but arguably not the only Indian ace. This issue should be addressed somehow in Roy's bio, in the interests of accuracy.
